I have a dell 6400 (I think) with ATI X1300 128mb graphics card. I'd like to upgrade to a 256 or maybe even a 512 but have very limited knowledge on graphics cards. Help?

I belive the Dell 6400 Inspiron is a Notebook. I believe the video cards are not upgradable. If you are in fact using a laptop, you can access the BIOS and increase the shared memory usage of your video card manually. However, you must have enough system RAM left to still run your operating system.

As far as I know video cards on laptops can't be upgraded, with the exception of a few high end gaming machines.
