Navida 8600 Graphics card?

just wondering i'm planning to get this graphics card..

MSI GeForce 8600GT,

512MBPCI-E DX10

Do you think this will be a good enough graphic card to buy, and will play games on medium-high settings for 1 or 2 years..

If i'm having to pay all this money anyways for this one, would it be better to get a 8700 since it'll be used for more years.. i don't want to pay that much for it though..

I totally agree with above post. if you are wanting to get fps on current and future games the 8800gt is the way to go. You'll find the 8600 is really getting behind the 8-ball next year.

I don't know anything about the 8700..but I can say a 8600gt is a low end video card that won't play most newer games now at medium high ..especially in 1 to 2 years. You would also be better off with a 256mb version of that card as it is much to slow to even bother spending the extra for 512mb of ram.I'd recommend saving up for a 8800GT 512 if possible or ATI Radeon HD 3850or3870 series
