Installing a graphics card into a laptop?

Is there anyway to buy a laptop from the store, open it up and install a 3D graphics card? If someone could give me a link to the website that would be better. Thanks

I bet you would have to have one made from a computer service store.

Most cards sold in the stores are for desktop computers.

I replaced the 16 mb card on my notebook with a 32 mb card. The card I bought was from an ebay vendor that said it was compatible with my make/model computer, which I verified through the manufacturer's site, where I also I got the instructions to replace the card.

It took 10 minutes, once I got the card in the mail.

Search ebay for cards for your comp. Caveat emptor, though. Check out the vendor first.

It really depends on what laptop you are using.

From my experience you shouldn't really do it yourself, since the wires inside a laptop are really that fine, and the video card of the laptop is that far deep inside the system.
