Gaming experts help please: Which graphics card listed below is the best?

Hi there i am going to University and need a laptop. I am a very keen gamer and have narrowed down a few laptops which are fairly equal expect all have different graphics cards. Which will give me the best performance now and in the future:

NVIDIA庐 GeForce鈩?8700M GT supporting TurboCache鈩?technology 512 MB

512MB DDR3 nVidia庐 GeForce鈩?Go 7950 GTX

NVIDIA庐 GeForce鈩?8600M

NVidia GeForce Go7600SE

Those are the ones for now and i hear good things about different ones so i genuinly have no idea which will give me the best performance. I am considering all the prices equal and the ram on each machine to be 2gb. So with everything equal i would like to make my choice based on the best graphics card both now and in the future! So please give me some good advice!!

The 7950 GTX is the best choice is you want extremelly good performance. The only problem is that it won't handle DirectX 10 games, so it will be obsolete in about two years.

The 8700M GT is still pretty good, but it's not even close to the 7950 GTX. It will be a good choice if you do not plan to buy a laptop with a native resolution of more than 1400x900, but anything under that, and games will run really smooth on mid-high settings.

The 8600M GT is also pretty good, but not good enough for a hardcore gamer. This is the card I have, and can play Battlefield 2 at 80fps with some settings on mid, but others, like terrain, I have to leave on low if I want to play at a good resolution.

The 7600SE stay away from.

Hello to you. Out of all the ones you have listed it is very difficult to choose just one. If you are running Direct x9 games I would choose the Go 7950 GTX. For the future Direct x10 I would personally choose the 8700M GT.

These two choices would be upper end graphics for your money in my opinion. The other cards listed are good choices also, but are considered a little bit lower frame rate and graphic quality for gaming.

Go for the 8700GT. It's direct x 10. You'll be able to run better effects in upcomming games.

Although currently a bit faster the 7 series is a dying generation.
