Corel or photoshop? + how 2 make graphics?

HI. Okay, so i'm a teen %26amp; I want a software where I can do fun %26amp; creative stuff. Like:

-Change hair color/tounges

-Make "magazines"/post cards

-Correct flaws

-Make awesome GRAPHICS like on PHOTOBUCKET

-%26amp; much more

You get the idea right??!! :] So here are my questions for you:

-Would PHOTOSHOP or COREL be better for what I'd use it for?

-Do you know any good SITES or BOOKS? Keeping in mind that I'm a TEEN %26amp; don't want 2 read a BORING old MANUEL or something. :] ;]

-How do you make those awesome graphics like on PHOTOBUCKET for instance?? {sites appreciated}

THANKS SOOOO MUCH!

I personally like photoshop better then corel, try a demo for both of them on there sites, and mess around with both of them see which ones you prefer, and get that one.

Well you can add stuff and do alot of stuff in layers, you just have to learn how to do this by practice.

You might want to try Paint.Net, available for free from http://getpaint.net .

As a beginner I recommend you to start with some of the free programs that are available on the net.

GIMP or Photofiltre or Paint.net are all free of charge, but you can do a lot of things with them.

Photoshop is a professional program and not at all easy to deal with. Just look at all "silly" questions here at Yahoo answer.

Having the program on your computer doesn楹搕 make you a graphic artist!

Start with my suggestions and learn about the different tools and how to use them. If you really fall for it you can move on to more advanced programs later.
