Help Upgrading Graphics Card....?

I recently bought a brand new gateway...

absolutely love it to death, 2 gigs of ram, 2.8 dual core AMD, rated at 7.65ghz (not kidding)..... 600 bucks...

only 1 problem, a 6150SE Nvidia 128mb...

terrible graphics card, I mainly use my PC for games, and this thing just doesnt cut it.

I happened upon a 9550 ATI Radeon 256, and am very interested in upgrading.

can someone walk me throught the process of upgrading, and the best ways to discharge static....?

I have vista, and the ATI drivers on a disc, if that makes any difference at all...

They have pictures and everything- so you can print it out and use it while you're actually doing it

First before you do anything, make sure your computer even has an AGP slot, it is required for the Radeon 9550 but most computers with the 6150SE have a PCIe slot instead.

You can look at your computer's documentation to find out, here's a picture of the two slot's relative sizes so if you open up your computer, you can check it out.

Most computers should have the PCIe (PCI Express 16) slot or the AGP slot above the PCI and PCIe (PCI Express 1) slots.

Other wise, just place the 9550 into the AGP slot, install the drivers and your all set.

Easiest way to discharge static is just to keep your body touching the inside of your case at all times.
